My Go-To Recipe Blogs

Nagi is super famous, but I still come across people who don’t know about her blog or cook books. She is well known for having a recipes that are really well tested (e.g. on good vs shitty ovens, different people etc..) so it’s rare to find that a recipe doesn’t turn out like the photos! She does australian home cooked recipes, both western and asian dishes that use easy to find ingredients in australia.

Just Hungry đź”— and Just Bento đź”—

I’ve been using Makiko’s cook book “Real Japanese Cooking” as my first stop for japanese cooking, she also runs these two “Just…” blogs. The blog doesn’t have the greatest UI and doesn’t get updated super regularly, but the recipes work amazingly and there are some great articles on japanese food, history, culture, travel etc…

Just One Cookbook đź”—

This is another “go-to” for japanese recipes, similar to the Just… blogs, but with a more modern UI making it easier to browse for new ideas.

This is Nagi’s mum’s recipe blog and doesn’t have the same cult folloing, but there is a great collection of japanese home cooking recipes which are more off the beaten path.
